Perfectly balanced with half the caffeine

Modeled after our house blend, this coffee is made up of one part Decaf Honolulu Blend and one part Lokahi Blend. The result is a perfectly balanced cup with exceptional sweetness, a deep chocolate base, and half the caffeine.

Perfect for half caff lovers and afternoons!

This coffee is best prepared with a normal coffee brewing or a single cup dripper.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

It was a birthday gift to a family member in Honolulu. I live in Denver and found online that your Hapa Blend was an excellent gift-giving item. Mahalo!

Decided to give the Hapa Blend a try

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

I decided to give the Hapa Blend a try; I'm a regular customer of the 100% Kona Extra Fancy Roast and Peaberry which definitely skews my taste given how both stand out.

By comparison, this one was definitely much lighter in terms of flavor (it took a couple of sips). It's aroma while brewing was definitely nice but my tastebuds found the flavor initially muted (that again is due to the two 100% Kona's that I normally drink).

For most, this blend will still standout for its smooth flavor and its cost is much more easier to the wallet. Plus for those conscious about their caffeine intake, provides a nice balance. Thus the rating (which is more like a 3.75).

Nonetheless, I would still recommend this to those who are not as avid about Kona coffee as someone like myself because it is still a quality coffee to many other brands.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Coffee was okay but did not have much body. I have tried other half-cafs and they were more flavorful.

  • The best coffee is coffee that you love. That said, there are basics for making the most of every brew, such as:

    • Brewing Water Temperature: 195-205 F

    • Clean, filtered Water

    • Proper steep time for the grind setting: Coarse Grind = long brew time, Fine Grind = short brew time

    • Proper Coffee to Water Ratio: 1 gram of coffee for every 16 ml (or g) of water

    • A consistent grind particle size: Use a burr grinder if possible

    • Coffee that is not too far off-roast
