For the first time, we’re offering a natural process Kona coffee from our very own farm. Limited to 1 roast, this incredible coffee carries with it powerful stories of persistence, dedication, and passion.
Our hard-working team has attempted a natural process on our prized Kona coffees many times. The natural process (where the cherry is left on the coffee seed to dry) requires dry weather, which is especially challenging to pull off in the wet and rainy conditions of Hawaii. Early attempts were met with a few too many challenges to meet our quality standards. However, the desire to experience the extra fruitiness and depth the natural process could provide to our coffees persisted.
In 2024, our farm succeeded at producing a small amount of natural: just 10 pounds. In that year's Hawaii Coffee Association (HCA) Cupping Competition, the coffee ranked as the highest scoring Typica and placed 10th in the state. We took what we learned and improved the process even more, including producing more to be able to bring it to life to more coffee enjoyers.
This year, our farm team, led by Operations Manager Ryson Nakamasu, pulled it off. The result is a wonderfully sweet, tropical, and vibrant coffee, one where every sip feels like a treat to be savored. It's a singular story of the passion of our Honolulu Coffee Farms team that also speaks to the craft of coffee producers worldwide. It's a celebration of risk, trial and error, and ultimately triumph. It's a big story all in one great cup.
Limited to a single roast, this rare expression of their craft reveals a vibrant new side of our very own Farm to Cup story.

How should I brew my coffee?
The best coffee is coffee that you love. That said, there are basics for making the most of every brew, such as:
• Brewing Water Temperature: 195-205 F
• Clean, filtered Water
• Proper steep time for the grind setting: Coarse Grind = long brew time, Fine Grind = short brew time
• Proper Coffee to Water Ratio: 1 gram of coffee for every 16 ml (or g) of water
• A consistent grind particle size: Use a burr grinder if possible
• Coffee that is not too far off-roast
We love brewing the Kalita and French Press in particular. Get our recipes here!
